Congratulations to Lis Moller and Thomas Karsai who came 3rd in the “under 50 masterpoints” section.
Our club ran a two session qualifying event for the State Open Pairs Final (to be played at NSWBA on November 23rd & 24th) The top 3 pairs were:
1. Alan Cooper & Paul Larby 67.8 + 61.3 = 129.1
2. Theo Mangos & Leigh Foran 63.7 + 62.0 = 125.7
3. Geoffrey Hill & Kerry Hill 59.3 + 60.6 + 119.9
2019 Club Championship was won by Kitty and Walter Gottlieb with 63.5% (average of best two sessions).
Runners up: Theo Mangos and Paul Larby with 62.1%.
Third place: Allen Rosenberg and Lester Abrams with 61.3%.
The Mixed Pairs event was played over the first two Wednesdays in April. The winners, Jerzy SZYSZKOWSKI & Halina DRWECKA represented our club in the State Final at NSWBA on May 25th - 26th. They made the Final, congrats!
The next beginners course will commence on Tuesday 15th of October at 1:00 pm.
The Course is run in conjunction with City East Community College and information can be obtained from the Community College or Easts Bridge Club.
Please encourage your family and friends interested in learning bridge to come along to this excellent value course.
2018 Club Championship was won by Dianne and Eddie Mullin with 61.2% (average of best two sessions).
Runners up: Theo Mangos and Michael Schmaedicke with 58.6%.
Third place: Donald Knaggs & Albert Tjahja with 58.5%.
Easts winners were: (from right to left)
NS - Margit Short & Karl Serwuschok with 67% and EW - Pamela Dunsford & Marcel Stein with 63.8%
Congratulations to the winners of 2018 Mixed Pairs, Rebecca KATZ & Robert VADAS who won with 122.2 (cumulative 2 sessions) from Leigh FORAN & Theo MANGOS 121.9 . Third were Beryl ASHLEY & Geoffrey BROOMHEAD 117.1
They will represent our club at the State Final at NSWBA on May 26th & 27th.

The second stage consists of a Local Final, played over two sessions on Sunday 26th November at North Shore Bridge Club. (Willoughby)
Prizes will be awarded on the basis of the handicapped results and will be awarded in each of the four divisions.
Prizes will include free entry to major Australian Restricted and or Novice events (donated by the ABF), cash, certificates and subscriptions to the online Novice Edition of the Australian Bridge magazine.
The Championships, were conducted over three Wednesdays during the month of May. Congrats to the winners, Halina Drwecka and Jerzy Szyszkowski with their best two sessions aggregating 130.5 The Silver is shared between the pairings of Pat Walker and Alan Cooper & Robert Vadas and Paul Larby (124.1)
